The attention to details was amazing, but the preservation of the history of the hotel was beyond amazing. The small things, such as the room keys with the keyring. The furniture. The old, heavy solid, wooden doors. The ambiance of “this is history, live in it.” Your hotel exudes class, charm, and personality. It made us feel so welcomed, as if we were the only guests in the hotel and it was all for us.

I booked a room on Saturday (12/03/11) for my husband’s birthday and asked the lady working there Friday night if she could leave a birthday message in the room. The message on a card was waiting when we got there with a free dessert coupon. I know its not much but not very many people go out of their way to do something extra these days. I appreciated it and we had a wonderful night!

We are suburbanites from the Cypress area but on every visit “downtown” to the theater, The Lancaster is always our first and favorite choice.

I was in from Miami on business. Your folks were kind enough to sew buttons on my trench coat that I hadn’t used in over 5 years. That was a nice touch. Can’t imagine getting that service anywhere else. Sincere regards to your wonderful staff and a Merry Christmas!!!
